I found Canadaland when I was just leaving high school and wanted to learn more about the country I lived in. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and listened to your entire backlog of content. I learned a lot, developed a genuine interest in news, and picked up a lot of opinions on things I’d literally never heard of before. A few years later, I’m proud to call myself a Canadaland supporter.

I really appreciate the critical commentary on Canadian media - I think it helps keep those of us in the industry accountable and it also reminds news consumers to have a healthy criticism of media outlets and journalists they trust.
-
What drew me in was the Canada focus. What kept me was Canadaland focusing on telling the stories I wasn’t hearing anywhere else. You make me expand my views, which I appreciate.

We like to thank our supporters at the beginning of our episodes, but only if you want us to!
If you support Canadaland at the Sustainer or Champion level or join our Editor’s Circle, you will have the opportunity to opt out and stay anonymous. Let us know if you would like to be name-dropped in our Shout Outs, or if you would prefer to be on our “Do Not Mention” list, which means your name will not be mentioned at the beginning of one of our episodes.
If you like to check things thrice and make triple-sure your name won’t be mentioned due to human error (it’s rare, but has happened), please email support@canadaland.com. You will be diligently assured your name will not be read at the top of one of our episodes.
As Canadaland doesn’t solicit or accept government media subsidies, we haven’t applied to the Canada Revenue Agency for approval as a “qualified Canadian journalism organization” and your support is not tax deductible.
